At this time in our lives, we’re so busy giving to other people: our children, grandchildren, careers, parents, that we don’t make time for ourselves.
We simply don’t have the time or energy to focus on ourselves, and the weight creeps on, our strength and fitness decreases.
We may even be reaching for less healthy options, purely due to being tired, time poor.
Or we’re so in need of a breather that when we let our hair down we overindulge with the food and beverages, and end up feeling worse about ourselves.

Then we come up with the idea to exercise our weight off. We think that doing more cardio will burn off the weight.
And to our dismay that doesn’t work either!
All this is going on at the same time as our body is going through some pivotal changes.
Changes that are not talked about enough, that are not supported enough by the health professionals.
It’s still a taboo subject spoken about in whispers; or we’re subjected to sweeping, incorrect statements made about it by people who are not actually experiencing what we are!

With all of this going on for us, when we do decide to try and do something about it, and lose that stubborn weight, we discover that what used to work, doesn’t any more!
